I’ve taken a look at disturbing health posts showing up everywhere from KGworld to TikTok, but today I decided to take a look at the source of a lot of the internet’s medical misinformation: Facebook. What I saw drove me up the wall. Quiet a baby by pressing pressure points? Heal muscle soreness by walking barefoot? The dangers of a red tongue?! Don’t believe everything you see in a Facebook video, and definitely don’t share it unless you can verify it’s TRUE!
I LOVE reading your comments and take your suggestions seriously. If there’s a subject you want me to discuss or something you’d like for me to react to, leave a comment down below. Many of my videos have been born out of suggestions directly from you, so don’t hold back!

  • the baby one was Reflexology basically applying pressure to certain parts of the foot helps with specific parts of the body, the toes are supposed to handle the various parts of the head and it moves down the body the closer you get to the heel, to be honest i think it uses a mix of placebo effect but also the weird way the body can take something affecting one body part and have it felt or affect another body part.

  • The one where they try calming the baby is true. Reflexology is real and works. It works by finding the pressure points on your feet which are linked to other areas of the body. A reflexologist was able to tell I was diabetic by looking at the pressure points on my feet its definately true

I practice Wicca and we uses Ground to release engery like stress in to earth so we can better focus on whatever were doing. And going outside bear foot is apart of bracking the cycle associated with stress and what not and is repeatable allowing for a calming association.

  • Late to the game on this video, but I do want to say the one about dance and memory isn't actually too far off. There are studies that actually have shown that social dancing can delay effects of dementia and Alzheimer's. Specifically things like social dancing, usually ballroom or Latin dancing, help create different neuropaths in your brain because you have to quickly react to what is going on in the floor, and tell your partner what to do / reacts to what your partner is leading you to do. It's pretty interesting. I wouldn't say it necessarily improves the memory per se, but it definitely does help.

  • Dunno if someone else has commented this already but here’s what’s most likely going on in the baby video thing: what’s highlighted on the baby is where the baby is feeling discomfort, the highlighted part of the foot is the part ur supposed to massage to help with whatever is highlighted on the baby. Not saying whether or not it’s actually accurate, but I’m pretty sure that’s what they were trying to say.

  • Thank you for showing the study on autism. Even though it merely describes a kind of atypical neurology, people still treat it as problematic or a biological defect. Having been diagnosed with mild ASD at a young age, I found (and still do find) myself often in a situation where people treated me differently because of the diagnosis. I've always thought the best way to approach it is a character trait. Some character traits are inherited too, and this study allows the matter to be talked about within families, instead of just the diagnosed person and whoever he/she trust. I think it's groundbreaking, and a great way to end the video! Thank you!

  • I think the bit for the crying baby was Reiki or Accupressure or some such other mumbo-jumbo. Sore teeth? Here, poke the toes, they look vaguely tooth-like. Sore chest? *This* part of the foot looks roughly the same shape, prod it. If that doesn't work, make an effigy that looks like the pain and stab it with a pin to kill the pain... That sleeping posture instantly made me think of the rotator cuff - having strained those muscles badly in the past, I'm now very aware of their existence and treat them with respect... One of my kids'' tongues was once the colour of a pink highlighter - that's what happens when kids play with pink highlighters... Every time someone spouts "VaCCiNeS cAuSE aUTiSm!" I feel like saying something that would be construed as "socially inappropriate".

  • By boosting memory with dancing, it means that when you dance a particular routine, you have to memorize all steps and their order, and until that becomes muscular memory you have to learn that, so it triggers your brain to thing simultaneously about every movement of every muscle you have on your body. It's not that simple 😁

  • Okay so, all my foster cousins went into the medical field and when I asked them how to prevent/lessen a hangover, they told me to consume a small amount of sugar and salt and drink a lot of water before going to sleep. They said glucose and salt help break down alcohol faster. And I was told that fat does the opposite, it slows the break down of alcohol and thereby lengthens your inebriated state. The thing is, when you go out a night and get drunk, when you get hungry, the food you will eat will most likely be a food that contains a lot of fat. Thus, you stay drunk longer.

The side can cause premature wrinkles and depending on the side heart pressure. The best is on your back with your head elevated.
